The NHD-C0420AZ-NSW-BBW-3V3 is a Chip-on Glass display with four lines of twenty characters delivered in a slimmer, more efficient form factor than traditional chip-on-board modules.

Designed as a compact, low-power alternative to conventional character LCD modules, this COG display features a smaller footprint at 69mm x 38mm and reduced power draw with logic supply current as low as 1.25mA typical. The NHD-C0420AZ-NSW-BBW-3V3 is a STN- Blue Transmissive (negative) display with a white LED backlight. This STN model has a rich blue background color creating a vibrant contrast against the white backlit text for clear readability.

Connectivity is handled through a 20-pin FFC cable (0.5mm pitch), keeping the design slim and flexible. The built-in IST3602 controller, 3.3V logic supply, and wide operating temperature range of -20°C to +70°C make this display reliable across a range of environments and system architectures. Integration is straightforward with selectable 8-bit 6800/8080 parallel, 3/4-wire SPI, or I²C interface options.
